A Nice Stay in Girona!
The spacious double room offered modern comfort, and the hotel's coffee shop served the best pastries we've ever had. Enjoy a stroll to the historical center-it's just a seven-minute walk away. Don't miss the lovely local shops nearby!

Good location. Although the furniture is a bit old the room is clean and bathroom is big and new. We were given the rooms overlooking a very large inner courtyard (common to other buildings) so there was no noise at all. We ate quite well at the hotel's bar & tapas restaurant. They took into account our preference for a shower in the rooms and gave us the rooms next to each other.
I booked two double rooms at the same price and there was a difference in amenities both in brand and quantity. Even one had bathrobes and slippers and other did not. look of the room was the same, none of them were superior. What I liked the least was the breakfast in the cafeteria (not the buffet). treatment received by the two girls who attended us was pitiful. They treated us with a disdain I had never felt before. I would never go back. Besides, they charged us 2 extra breakfasts and even 3 times they had to redo the bill.

I enjoyed the room, fantastic meals etc.
No complaints, we spent a very comfortable time here. The hotel was impressive, had amazing views and magnificent location close enough to river which divides New and numerous shops and restaurants and tourist sites. The room was quiet, the decor was beautiful. The staff was courteous, kept everything clean and excellent. The service here was excellent.

Recommend it for anyone seeking comfort
The breakfast experience was a highlight for me. I woke up early expecting the usual dry pastries but was blown away by the variety of fresh options they had, a pleasant surprise. The staff were friendly too, I even had a conversation with one about the best local spots.
It wasn't inexpensive but still reasonable enough considering the comfort.

Excellent location. Three blocks from the bus station and RENFE. Nice and attentive staff. Spacious, comfortable rooms. Modern bathroom, no bathtub so easy to move around. Abundant water. Soft bedding and high quality towels. Replacement of toilet element, attention details. Daily courtesy to prepare tea and coffee in the room. Three comfortable cushions per bed. Quality shampoo and bath gel. Large refrigerator. Excellent air conditioning. Nice view to the square. Highly recommended. I would definitely come back. Additional advice: Take a free tour not to be missed with David, Plaza de la Independencia. Person with orange polo shirt. Excellent knowledge and history of Girona and Spain. In Spanish.
Nothing to object to. Request clarification of air handling. It's simple.

Our family enjoyed the Carlemany overall. We were in Girona during the Volcano Ash fiasco and the hotel staff were good to us during the stay. Loved the city!!
Not sure that the hotel should be rated 4 stars, maybe 3.5 or 3?? The front of the hotel is mobbed by Spanish teenagers smoking during the day. Seems like a 'hangout' spot for them. Would suggest to hotel ownership to make the front area off limits to loiterers.

The hotel boasts a modern style, with clean, well-equipped rooms that were surprisingly spacious. A short 5-minute walk from the train station made arrivals easy, and the area offered plenty of shopping options. The furniture felt outdated and the provided toiletries were in wasteful small bottles. I was disappointed the breakfast options were limited compared to local cafes. Despite these minor setbacks, the overall experience was pleasant and I enjoyed the stay.

It is an excellent hotel with a great location to know Girona. I already knew the Hotel for many years and it still maintains its high standard. The rooms are renovated, spacious, comfortable, very clean and with a great bathroom. I think it is a very elegant hotel in the heart of Girona. Located in a very good shopping area. Just 5 minutes from the historic centre of Girona, which is beautiful and very well preserved. Good parking with direct access to the Hotel. Located in a very lively square with two of the Hotel's own premises. A very lively cafeteria and restaurant/terrace that give life to this square. We use both premises. All the Hotel staff are very attentive and helpful.
The price. It is a hotel that using accommodation, parking and breakfast is expensive. That's why we didn't take the buffet breakfast of the Hotel. We had breakfast in the cafeteria/terrace of the Hotel and very well. It has a great breakfast at a very reasonable price.

Above average breakfasts, very flexible and absolutely excellent staff.
Modern and pretty standard hotel in a shopping area close enough to the Rail Station, Shops, old town, quiet restaurant, and Catalonia. Large bed, good-sized bathroom and a laptop-compatible safe, a mini bar and central heating in the room. Exceptional garden views. Savoury drinks at tapas bar, VERY GOOD service. Free Wi-Fi provided in the property.

would like to go back here again
Spotlessly clean double room with a comfy bed and air conditioning that actually worked! Shower was spacious with fresh towels. Enjoyed the buzzing vibe at the bar and the Indigo restaurant offered tasty meals late into the night. Location was super convenient, just a short walk to busses, trains, and major attractions.

The rooms were lovely and the location for proximity to both the train station and the town are excellent.
I requested a double bed, got two single beds instead pushed together

I loved the comfy double room with a fabulous walk-in shower and the amazing fluffy towels. The garden area was perfect. Just be aware that rooms facing the street can get a bit noisy, but it didn't spoil my time at all 🌟

We enjoyed the breakfast cafeteria and the plaza. We loved Girona--a charming old city with nice restarants and shops on the narrow streets. Great outdoor cafes and street entertainers. A real jewel of a town. Please write at least 15 words

It's a good location in the new part of town, really close to the bus and train station, good comfortable bed, a good all round standard 4 star hotel.
Staff could be more friendly - but overall it's all ok.
